Short description
Brolift is a free workout log for iPhone. Lifters log sets, reps and weight at the rack, see the reps they need for a new PR before they lift, and follow their estimated one-rep max over time. With permission, it reads heart rate from Apple Health. Brolift has no account. Workouts are stored on the iPhone and synced with iCloud.
Long description
Brolift is a workout log for iPhone, made for lifting. You open it at the rack and log each set with weight and reps steppers while a set timer and a workout timer run. Before you lift, the tracker shows the reps you need at that weight for a new personal record.
With your permission, Brolift reads heart rate and energy from Apple Health and charts heart rate across the whole session, with a marker for every exercise. Press and drag the chart to read your BPM at any moment. Heart rate needs a device that records it, such as Apple Watch. Brolift only reads from Apple Health and never writes to it.
Every exercise gets estimated one-rep max and max-weight charts, and personal records are kept by weight and by reps, with the date you set them. The Dashboard shows an activity heatmap, weekly volume, muscle focus and lifetime stats you pick.
On an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence, you can describe a workout in a sentence and Brolift builds it from its exercise library on the device, then loads it into the tracker. Nothing you type leaves the iPhone.
Brolift is free, with no ads, no in-app purchases and no account. Workouts are stored on your iPhone and synced with iCloud.
Key features
- Set logging. Weight and reps steppers, a set timer and a workout timer. Add, copy and delete sets without leaving the exercise card.
- Reps for a new PR. Before you lift, the tracker shows the reps you need at that weight for a new personal record.
- Heart rate from Apple Health. With your permission, Brolift charts heart rate across the whole session, with a marker for every exercise. Press and drag to read your BPM at any moment. It also shows average, low and peak heart rate, plus active and total energy.
- Progress charts. Estimated 1RM and max weight for every exercise, over 3 months, 6 months, a year or all time.
- Personal records. By weight and by reps, with the date each one was set.
- Dashboard. Activity heatmap, weekly volume, muscle focus, a 12-month view and lifetime stats you pick.
- Workout from a sentence. Type "heavy push day, 45 minutes, bench focus" and Brolift builds the workout from its exercise library. It runs on device with Apple Intelligence, so it needs a supported iPhone.
- 1,081 built-in exercises. Plus custom exercises you create yourself.
- Plans, notes and media. Plan workouts ahead and start them at the gym. Add notes, photos and videos. Track body measurements over time.
- Six themes. Iron, Ocean, Sunset, Forest, Blood and Mono, or your own accent color.
- Powerlifting mode. Adds RPE, a rep max calculator and your squat, bench and deadlift total.
- No account. Workouts are stored on your iPhone and synced with iCloud. There is nothing to sign up for.
What’s new in Brolift 2.0
Brolift 2.0 came out on October 16, 2026. It is a new app under the hood. From the release notes:
- No account and no sign-in. Workouts live on the iPhone and sync with iCloud. People who used Brolift before can tap “Used Brolift before?” on the Dashboard to bring their old workouts across.
- Heart rate, redesigned: a full-session chart from Apple Health with a marker for every exercise, press and drag to read your BPM at any moment, and a heart-rate page on every exercise card.
- Describe a workout and Brolift builds it, generated on device with Apple Intelligence.
- Saving a workout now says exactly what needs fixing (for example “Bench Press · Set 3: missing reps”) and jumps to it.
- New themes, a new Dashboard and dozens of smaller fixes.
2.0 requires iOS 26. It has no social features, and friends, comments and the feed from 1.x are not imported.
